A total of 50 participants onsite and online, including participants from Japan, the United States of America, Belgium, and China, were connected for eight presentations and discussions. The first half of the conference featured an invited presentation by Dr. Yutetsu Kuruma at the Japan Agency for Marine-Earth Science and Technology (JAMSTEC), as well as presentations by the winners of last year's Incentive Award of the meeting. The progress of synthetic biology very much inspired glycobiologists. Attendees enjoyed listening to a young researcher studying in Belgium (Dr. Kenichi Kamata, KU Leuven University) talk about his research abroad. In the latter half of the session, we discussed our future on the "Human Glycome Project" in Japan and the world, which will be promoted as a national roadmap as a research association bearing "Glycome". We were reminded of the importance of uniting the scientific minds of each researcher to lead the project to success. To increase the number of fans of Yokohama, an international maritime city, and connect researchers' hearts through tourism to further develop research, an excursion cruise around Yokohama Port was held safely after the event with the support of a MICE grant. The 21 participants intoxicated the night view of Yokohama's beautiful harbor with Shiumai-bento and continued the heated discussion in the workshop on Sea Bass cruising.
